The Douglas County Planning Department:
- Administers state, regional and local land use and zoning regulations in unincorporated areas of Douglas County
- Provides information and technical assistance to the public and local officials
- Supports a variety of citizen involvement and planning related programs
The planning program is administered under the guidance of the Board of Commissioners with the advice of the Planning Commission and other advisory groups. It is client focused with an expectation that quality comprehensive planning and administration can achieve a desirable future.
Douglas County Code Enforcement strives to improve the community through the enforcement of the counties adopted ordinances.
Douglas County On-Site Services monitors all on-site septic systems in areas of Douglas County where public sewer is not available, in coordination with the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).
